Dance
The
courses in dance introduce students to the history and theory of dance and
to the concepts of movement. Students are given the opportunity to
participate in a dance production or to participate in activities related
to a dance production such as costumes, scenes and lighting.
Music
The program in
music offers students music history, literature, theory, and performances.
The courses are designed to provide students with historical and
theoretical context in order to develop their abilities to listen and
appreciate music critically, analytically, and creatively. Performing
activities, on the other hand, are designed to help students develop their
musical talents and performing skills and techniques. Students may
register for private piano and voice. The Keuka Chorale offers
opportunities for performing activities. (See course descriptions, Music [MUS].)
