Basic and Applied Social Sciences is an interdisciplinary division consisting of criminology and criminal justice, history, political science, psychology, sociology, and social studies 7-12. Each discipline retains autonomy, although interdisciplinary interaction both inside and outside the division is encouraged. Courses within each discipline are intended to provide a basic foundation in each major and to complement offerings in the various disciplines.
