P0SITION:   Full time (10 month), tenure-track position.

 RANK:   Assistant Professor

 ACCOUNTABILITY:  Reports to the Chair of the Education and Social Work Division

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Full time, tenure-track position with teaching assignments, student advising and faculty governance service. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

bulletTeaches in the Bachelor’s programs in the Education Division
bulletAdvises students through realistic and thorough guidance, assistance and support.
bulletParticipates in evaluation and development of the program curriculum
bulletParticipates in curricular and program assessment
bulletDemonstrates continuing professional and educational growth and maintains expertise in areas of responsibility
bulletContributes to the College and community through participation in College functions and community activities.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 

bulletA doctorate is required, although ABDs will be considered as Instructors.
bulletClassroom teaching in a K-12 setting
bulletExperience and certification in special education highly desired
