Political Science

P0SITION: Full time (10 month), tenure-track position.

RANK: Assistant Professor.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to the Chair of the Basic & Applied Social Sciences (BASS) Division.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Full time, tenure-track position with teaching assignments, student advising and faculty governance service.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

	Teach undergraduate level courses in Political Science, and one Geography course.
	Advises students through realistic and thorough guidance, assistance and support.
	Participates in evaluation and development of the program curriculum.
	Participates in curricular and program assessment.
	Demonstrates continuing professional and educational growth and maintains expertise in areas of responsibility.
	Contributes to the College and community through participation in College functions and community activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

	A PhD in political science preferred, ABD acceptable, Masters required.
	Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level strongly preferred.
	The candidate should have a background in the areas of International Relations and Comparative Politics.
