An overview of the study of dance as an art form through discussion of dance and its relation to the other arts. Technique sessions introduce studentsto classical forms and exploration of modern and jazz modes. Emphasis is on the fundamentals of movement, rhythm, composition, and style. This course provides students with an opportunity to experience and develop an appreciation for dance. Offered as a fine arts core option. (Offered annually.) (LA) (FP)(3)
