EDU 209: Early Childhood Perspective in Disabilities

Prerequisite: EDU 105 (or concurrent). This course is an analysis of issues and intervention strategies involved in the educational programming of infants and preschoolers with disabilities. Course content includes focus upon the historical perspective of special education, the concepts of early intervention, family-centered intervention practices, interagency collaboration, and appropriate strategies for the management and instruction of exceptional students in early childhood environments.
