The Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008

Shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Keuka College reached out to survivors and family members of those killed in the attacks by establishing the 911 Service Scholarship. Now, Keuka is inviting those who served on active duty in the military on or after Sept. 11, 2001, to take part in the Post-9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008. The application for benefits is available on the Veteran's Administration website.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides for payments to institutions for veterans’ tuition and fees, a monthly housing allowance, and an annual stipend for books and supplies.

Why You Should Attend
Keuka College

Experiential, Hands-on Learning

The Keuka experiential learning model has a close relationship to the military’s learning model, which like Keuka relies on a hands-on, applied learning approach.

560 Hours of Real-World Experience

At Keuka, every student undertakes a Field Period every year. Students go out into the world for 140 hours of hands-on experience, putting into practice what they learned in the classroom. By the time they graduate, they have significant, real-world experience that impresses employers and graduate schools. And here’s the proof: over the past five years, 98 percent of graduates surveyed started their careers or enrolled in graduate school within 6 to 9 months of graduation.
