Keuka Employees Honored at Community Day

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Twenty-seven faculty and staff members were recognized for their service and dedication to Keuka  College at Community Day Aug. 21.Five-year service awards were presented to: Anna Decker, secretary, education graduate studies; Susan DeLyser, human resources coordinator; Terry Dinehart, acquisitions/technical services clerk; Timothy Knowles, production manager; Vicki Smith, professor of occupational therapy and chair, Division of Occupational Therapy; Jeff Snow, director of educational technology; Rodney Stanton, security officer; Tom Tremer, associate professor of criminology/criminal justice and sociology; and Sharon Tyler, librarian.

Ten-year services award were presented to: Diane Burke, director of education graduate studies, associate professor of education, and chair; Division of Education and Social Work, Joseph Burke, president; Christen Smith, associate director of communications; Brad Turner, director of information technology services; Jean Wannall, associate professor of occupational therapy and academic fieldwork coordinator; Kathy Waye, director of alumni and family relations; and Anne Weed, associate professor of English and chair, Division of Humanities.

A 15-year service award was presented to Dexter Benedict, professor of art and director of the Lightner Gallery.
A 20-year service award was presented to Peter Talty, professor of occupational therapy.

Twenty-five year service awards were presented to Carol Sackett, library circulation supervisor, and Thomas Carroll, professor of chemistry and physics.

A 45- year service award was presented to Jim White, professor of biology.

Merit awards were presented to: William Brooks, director of protective services, Jake Cornelius, audio/visual technician, Tanya Cornell-Kestler, staff writer/designer, Knowles, Neil Siebenhar, assistant professor of management and chair of the Division of Business and Management, and Lewis Stewart, maintenance staff.

Presidential Awards for Sustained Outstanding Achievement were presented to Kristen Harter, assistant director of admissions counseling and Monica Maddox, Accelerated Studies for Adults Program admissions representative.

Community Awards for Sustained Outstanding Achievement were presented to President Burke and Diane Burke.

Keuka College is the national leader in experiential, hands-on learning.
