Co-Curricular Transcripts
What is a Co-Curricular Transcript?
A co-curricular transcript complements your academic transcript by validating your out-of-classroom activities, including:
- Active memberships in student clubs, organizations or teams.
- Service as an officer or captain in any student club, organization, or team.
- Participation in a leadership program.
- Documented service learning activities.
- Any documented community volunteer work.
- Service as a resident assistant or mentor.
- Honors, awards, honor society memberships.
- Participation in cultural organizations (music, theatre, dance).
- Selective work-study positions.
- And much more ...
Why should I have a co-curricular transcript?
- Chart your developmental growth through college experiences.
- Help you gain valuable personal and professional skills in the areas of organization, oral and written communication, decision-making, finance, time management, problem-solving, ethics and tolerance, and personal balance.
- Provide a process for you to analyze and evaluate the skills gained through your involvement.
- Complement your academic transcript.
- Document and chart career path experiences while helping you understand the benefits associated with involvement outside of the classroom.
What Do I Need To Do?
Creating your transcript should be an ongoing process during your time at Keuka College. If you begin to get involved your first semester and continue to be actively involved all four years, your co-curricular transcript will be a rich and detailed picture of your extracurricular activities.
How Do I Get Started?
Each semester, the co-curricular transcript coordinator will send out forms to all applicable clubs and organizations. All you have to do is get involved in clubs and organizations that grab your interest and stay involved. At the end of every semester, the coordinator will get verification from the club heads as to whom has fulfilled the requirements necessary to be considered an active member. All of these students will then be entered into the co-curricular transcript database and a co-curricular transcript will be generated for each. At the beginning of each semester, those with a transcript will receive an unofficial copy at academic check-in.
