Seth Fikes enters his second season as the head coach of
the baseball team but eighth straight season with the team.
Fikes guided the Storm to a 9-16 and an 8-10 North Eastern Athletic Conference
(NEAC) record last season.
Fikes also serves as Keuka's sports information director, a position that he
has held since 2004.
He served as the assistant baseball coach for two years (2005-06) and
before that was a four-year starter on the team (2001-04).
Fikes graduated in 2004 from Keuka with a bachelor's
degree in organizational communications. Upon graduating, he became the
sports information director at Keuka as well as the sports information
director for the 12-team, North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), which he
held for one year.
As a player, Fikes was a four-year letter winner and two
time co-captain. He was a two-time All-NEAC second team selection while
playing shortstop. He currently ranks second all-time in games played
(123), game starts (121), at bats (406), hits (115), singles (78), and total
bases (171). Fikes is the all-time leader at Keuka in doubles (25).
On the defensive side, Fikes is the all-time leader in assists (315), and is
fourth in putouts (196).
Fikes resides in Watkins Glen, NY with his wife, Devon
Marie, and their son Cole. |
