Biography:
All the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Shayna Zaid grew up surrounded by an array of cultures, which can be heard through her music, and was exposed to the artistic world ever since she can remember. Dance, Theater, Art and Music were words that coincided with her identity and turned into a passion as soon as she discovered her multiple talents. Although she had succeeded herself a promising career, she was willing to give it all up for One thing. Music. Shayna Zaid grew up listening to what most kids were listening to at the time, both locally and internationally, but her mother did not fail to expose her to the classics of Jazz, Blues and R&B, which has had a very strong influence on her unique and powerful vocal style. Performing since the tender age of six, both theatrically and musically, Shayna grew up surrounded by an artistic environment that later led her to a successful career in the entertainment industry. She was the youngest live TV talk show host in the history of Malaysian telecasting and became a household name at age 15. She was the face of Dove and also featured in many other TV commercials including Coca-Cola, Nokia and Pringles just to name a few. Before she landed the opportunity to host her own talk show, she was already recognized by top record labels in the country and was offered multiple recording contracts from Sony Music, EMI, Ponycanyon and a few other independent labels before turning them down to further her education. Not wanting to be tied down at such a tender age, at age 17, she decided to take her talent to a much bigger place; the United States. Since leaving Berklee College of Music for New York City, Shayna has been working on her album that is being produced by her ideal musical interpreter, producer; Joel Dean a.k.a. Jay Deasel. Check out www.myspace.com/ShaynaZaid to hear more of her music!!

During the Great Depression, a common-man hero, James J. Braddock--a.k.a. the Cinderella Man--was to become one of the most surprising sports legends in history. By the early 1930s, the impoverished ex-prizefighter was seemingly as broken-down, beaten-up and out-of-luck as much of the rest of the American populace who had hit rock bottom. His career appeared to be finished, he was unable to pay the bills, the only thing that mattered to him--his family--was in danger, and he was even forced to go on Public Relief. But deep inside, Jim Braddock never relinquished his determination. Driven by love, honor and an incredible dose of grit, he willed an impossible dream to come true. In a last-chance bid to help his family, Braddock returned to the ring. No one thought he had a shot. However Braddock, fueled by something beyond mere competition, kept winning. Suddenly, the ordinary working man became the mythic athlete. Carrying the hopes and dreams of the disenfranchised on his shoulders, Braddock rocketed through the ranks, until this underdog chose to do the unthinkable: take on the heavyweight champ of the world, the unstoppable Max Baer, renowned for having killed two men in the ring.
