Program Overview

Our master’s in management degree is built around an academic core in organizational design and marketing, business strategy and analysis, economics, ethics, and leadership development. This broad base of knowledge will allow you to customize your skills to fit a range of roles, whether you work in healthcare, financial services, retail, education, food service, manufacturing and operations, research and development, or project management.

Our full-time, on-campus program recognizes that multinational operations are the wave of the future. It focuses on knowledge that transcends borders, and gives you cross-cultural skills that can be used in nearly any industry, and in any country. Ultimately, you’ll be prepared to take on an executive leadership role in the 21st century.

In our part-time program, you’ll complete a Capstone Experiential Portfolio (CEP), in which you catalog the insights gained during the program, and develop a plan of implementing these key principles in your own career.

The management program is delivered in three formats to suit your academic preferences and unique lifestyle needs:

  • Full-Time On-Campus - Complete your degree in 10 months through our full-time, on-campus program. Weekday classes are held each morning and afternoon at our home campus in Keuka Park, NY.
  • Part-Time Off-Campus - Complete your degree in 18 months through an extended part-time program. You’ll attend class one night a week at select partner sites throughout NY state. This option is available through the Accelerated Studies for Adults Program (ASAP).
  • Part-Time Online - Complete your MSM degree part-time, and all-online. Online classes are taught by KC professors.

Digital Learning

Technology powers today’s business world. As a management student, you’ll receive constant hands-on experience with the most recent and up-to-date tools used by professionals across every industry. At Keuka College, you’ll not only learn to use today’s software and digital tools, but to understand how and why they work the way they do. This means you’ll seldom have a problem adapting to new technology, software, or digital tools.

Additionally, you’ll participate in a business simulation that delivers a realistic, hands-on experience in which you’ll create a startup company, and plan a management strategy. You’ll be challenged to make decisions in the areas of accounting, finance, manufacturing, marketing, human resource management, and quality control, using modern day software to guide your decisions. The simulation provides an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of the nature of markets, and how various business functions must come together to create positive results.

Global Education

Every course you’ll take is taught from the perspective of today’s business world, one that’s more global than it’s ever been. The management faculty continually updates courses to capture the latest trends to prepare you for the 21st century’s global business environment. You’ll graduate with a firm grasp of global marketing and finance—two key skills for anyone in a management role at a multinational organization.

In addition, Keuka College offers business programs at partner universities in China and Vietnam. These programs are taught by the College’s American faculty, and many professors rotate through teaching at the home campus, in off-campus programs designed for adults, and overseas. Your professors will come to the classroom with an unparalleled perspective on, and experience with, some of the world’s fastest-growing economies, and the educational and business philosophies taught in Asia’s universities.

Experiential Learning

As a working professional in the management program, you’ll be able to apply what you learn in the classroom the very next day at work. Many of your classes will include guest speakers, who are executives from some of the region’s top employers and organizations.

Some instructors will partner with small businesses and non-profit organizations near you, providing you and your cohort the opportunity to solve real-world business problems, develop actual marketing plans, and assist with new product launches.

The management program culminates with the Capstone Experiential Portfolio (CEP), a project you’ll work on throughout your entire program. The CEP serves as your own personal record of the insights you gain throughout the program, and builds value in your personal and professional life by outlining how you’ll apply this new knowledge to your career path.
