Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

As the chief academic officer of the College, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs provides leadership for all academic programs in support of the College's mission and ensures academic excellence.

The vice president for academic affairs also has responsibility for those offices that support student success: the Registrar, Lightner Library, the Center for Student Success and Experiential Learning, Wertman Office of Digital Education, and Institutional Research and Effectiveness.

Other responsibilities include the development, review, and implementation of academic policies and procedures; assessment; budgeting for academic programs; and faculty personnel actions, including re-appointment, promotion, and tenure.

In these responsibilities, the vice president for academic affairs is ably assisted by the associate provost for academic innovation.

The provost and vice president for academic affairs is Paul Forestell, Ph.D., professor of psychology. The associate provost for academic innovation is Tim Sellers, Ph.D., professor of biology and environmental science. The associate vice president for program development is Vicki Smith, Ed.D., M.B.A., OTR/L.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Academic Affairs to provide an exceptional educational experience to the undergraduate and graduate students of Keuka College.

It achieves this goal through offering excellent liberal arts and professional programs, an outstanding experiential learning program, and high quality academic advising.

The Academic Affairs office promotes the professional development and scholarship of its highly effective teachers and talented staff who are committed to providing an engaging and enriching environment that supports student learning and development.
