Keuka College’s Community Luncheon Series will continue Wednesday, Nov. 7, with a presentation on Horning’s Greenhouse and Garden Center. The center has served the Penn Yan area for more than 30 years.
Jere Horning, a local Mennonite business owner and auctioneer, will discuss his family-owned business at a noon luncheon held at the Lakeside Country Club, 145 Rt. 54 (E. Lake Road) in Penn Yan. Mr. Horning will also discuss his experience as an auctioneer at the Finger Lakes Produce Auction and other venues.
Horning’s offers gardening supplies, plants, and nursery items including statuary and fountains. The Finger Lakes Produce Auction Inc. was formed so that Finger Lakes-area produce growers can market their products to area buyers through competitive bidding. All auctions are open to the public to buy, or sell.
Tickets for the lecture and luncheon are $15. Reservations may be made online. The reservation deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 31. Space is limited.
