Keuka College and the family and friends of Trevor Irby ’17 are honoring his memory the way he would have wanted: By celebrating life and learning in the form of a new scholarship.

Trevor was one of three people who lost their lives in a mass shooting at a garlic festival in Gilroy, Calif., in July.

Described as someone who made a positive impact on those around him, Trevor was active in both the Romulus Central School and Keuka College communities. The Trevor Irby ’17 Memorial Scholarship will each year assist a student who emulates Trevor’s compassion, love for life, and positive energy.

Contributions to the fund may be sent to the Keuka College Office of Development, 141 Central Ave, Keuka Park, N.Y. 14478. Please make checks payable to Keuka College and indicate the Trevor Irby ’17 Memorial Scholarship on the memo line. Donors may also contribute online at keuka.edu/give. Use the “other” option to designate what your donation will support, then type in “Trevor Irby ’17 Memorial Scholarship.”

Fund will also be raised outside Norton Chapel Sunday, Sept. 29, before and after a memorial service held for Trevor. The service begins at 1 p.m.
