Vice President for Finance and Administration Jerry Hiller has been named the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rochester Chapter of Financial Executives International and the Rochester Business Journal.
The award is among the organizations’ Financial Executive of the Year Awards, which recognize executives who have made outstanding contributions to their organizations and to the greater Rochester community.
Mr. Hiller has held the Finance and Administration position at Keuka College since 2003. Aside from being responsible for all business and fiscal matters for the College, his responsibilities include facilities, human resources, policy development, the College budget, accounts payable and receivable, institutional investments, and capital construction and renovation projects.
He is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers and an executive member of the Upstate New York College Collaboration. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Finger Lakes Economic Development Center, and is a volunteer at the Shimmering Light Farm retreat and educational center in South Bristol, N.Y.
Prior to joining the College, Mr. Hiller served as City Manager for several New York state municipalities, including the cities of Watertown and Batavia, and the village of East Aurora. He started his career as Assistant County Manager in Clinton County.
He served in the U.S. Army after graduating with a Master of Pubic Administration degree from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at SUNY Albany. He received his undergraduate degree form the University of Buffalo.
Mr. Hiller, along with finalists in several other categories, was honored today, May 18, during a luncheon at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
