The North Eastern Athletic Conference announced its 2019 All-Conference Teams and regular season awards on Wednesday and Keuka College’s Men’s Volleyball team was well represented.
Freshman Brad McKnight (Portland, Ore.) was named the NEAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Conference. Sophomore defensive specialist Seth Welker (Clifton Springs) was also named Second Team All-Conference.
Brad led the Keuka College attack in his first season with the Wolves on his way to being named the first Rookie of the Year in program history. He finished the regular season with 195 kills, averaging 2.75 kills per set. He also hit 17 aces and added 90 digs and 21 blocks. Brad ranks eighth in the conference in kills and ranks in the top 15 with a .202 hitting percentage. He currently sits in ninth on the single-season kills list at Keuka College.
While Brad led the offense for the Wolves, Seth anchored the defense. The sophomore led Keuka and ranked fourth in the conference with 228 digs this season. His 2.75 digs per set was second-best in the NEAC. Seth enters the postseason with the fifth most digs in a season in program history.
The Keuka College Men’s Volleyball team finished in fourth place in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, qualifying for the postseason.
