Dr. Esther Yoder ’60 Socioeconomic Mobility Grant
Esther Yoder's story is one that we all need to hear. When she came to Keuka College in 1956, her family had such limited “extra money” that they couldn’t afford sheets for her bed — her grandmother made them for her out of rough, brown burlap sacks.
After graduating, Esther became a corporate executive and franchise owner at Subway and said that Keuka College gave her the tools to create her own “rags to riches” story. Over the course of her life, Esther donated more than $4 million to Keuka College, hoping to empower future generations of students.
This grant is named in her memory and is awarded to residential students with high financial need. The value of each grant is determined individually based on need.
