Your Family is Keuka College
Your Family’s Home is the Finger Lakes

The Keuka College family makes its home in one of the most striking places on earth. The Finger Lakes region is among the country’s top vacation spots and there’s a reason for that – hundreds of reasons, in fact.

Whether your interests lie in the outdoors, the arts, dining, history, shopping, sight-seeing, entertainment, or exploration, this picturesque region pulses with variety. From incredible fall foliage and farm markets to breathtaking waterfalls and funky bistros, there’s something for everyone.

And you’ll have plenty of opportunity to take in all that the area has to offer, whether through recreational excursions led by the College’s Outdoor and Adventure team, College-sponsored trips to shopping and concert venues, hands-on exploration as part of courses like Environmental Science, or a short walk from the front door of your residence hall.

That’s right; you can experience the splendor of life in the Finger Lakes from the shore of our lakeside campus. Keuka Lake is one of the cleanest and most majestic freshwater lakes in the world, and it’s at your disposal. Among your options:

Point Neamo

The College’s private beach is a great place to swim, sun, or just hang out with friends. And the fun isn’t just limited to daytime hours – you'll enjoy plenty of s’mores, bonfires, and lakeside concerts during your years here.

Boating

Hop into any of the College’s canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards – for free! All you need to do is show your student ID to the lifeguard at the boathouse.

Fishing

Grab your rod and reel – the lake is home to lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and yellow perch.

Relaxing

From Point Neamo to the boathouse deck, there’s plenty of space to take a rejuvenative lakeside breather, whether with a book or a friend. Not only that, many of our residence halls offer stunning vistas of the lake. The Strong Hall Apartments – which are available to juniors, seniors, and graduate students – even have lakeside decks and barbecues for your enjoyment.

Researching

Keuka College’s Center for Aquatic Research works with the Keuka Lake Association to ensure our ecosystem remains vibrant and healthy. If you’re interested, you’ll have the chance to partner with faculty on research projects that improve the lives of everyone who calls Keuka Lake their home or favorite vacation destination.
