Application Requirements
In order to complete your application for the M.S. in Literacy program at Keuka College, there are several additional items we'll need from you.
Photocopies of All Your Teacher Certifications
If you’re currently awaiting a certificate of qualification from the state education department, you’ll need to send us a letter from the certification officer of your institution that addresses your eligibility for teacher certification.
Professional Statement
Information about you and your goals and values for the teaching profession and graduate school. There is no minimum or maximum page requirement.
This is your opportunity to communicate your specific strengths, professional goals, and future plans. Content and writing style are important. You may wish to include your reasons for undertaking this particular program.
Official Transcript(s)
We need an official transcript in a sealed, signed envelope from each college or university you have attended. You’ll need to request of each college that the transcript be sent to the following address:

If you’re currently enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program, an official transcript with completed coursework to date is required, along with a letter from the institution. The letter must state your status with regard to baccalaureate degree and anticipated date of program completion.
Two Letters of Recommendation
The Letter of Recommendation for Education Graduate Studies form provides additional details on this process. Once you receive the letters of recommendation, you’ll need to forward them to us at the above address.
