Requirements

You’ll need to earn 31 credits including a final capstone course in order to receive your MSL from Keuka College. If you’ve already started an MSL program elsewhere, some of your graduate-level credits may transfer in, saving you time and money.

Business ethics, marketing, strategic thinking, and international management are among the core courses that will provide you with the skills and knowledge applicable to any leadership position you want to pursue. If you have ever wanted to become more familiar with contracts, or gain skills in goal setting, problem solving, and communicating with others, these courses are just what you need.

MGT-631: Enterprise Analytics & Information Mgmt

This course introduces the student to the field of business analytics and an overview of data and information management. The topics covered in this course will include the following: the use of data warehouses, dashboards, key performance indicators, and data mining for making business decisions; an introduction to computer programming and computational thinking; an overview of information systems, their purpose, and their importance to international organizations. Computational thinking will introduce the student to the fundamental concepts of computer science used in problem solving, which include understanding human behavior, design, and algorithm development. Python, an object oriented programming language, will be used. Student learning will occur via individual and team projects.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in leadership occupations is projected to grow 7.3% from 2023 to 2033, faster than the average for all occupations. That growth will result in approximately 960,000 new jobs. 

The formation of new businesses and expansion of existing ones will drive employment growth, requiring more workers to manage operations. Management professionals earned a median salary of $116,880 in 2023, the highest wage of all the major occupational groups. 

In New York State, the numbers are even more promising. The state Department of Labor reports management positions are projected to increase by 12.5%. Managers will earn an average salary of $157,440, a figure that rises to $200,050 with experience.
